These two are hilarious. When they told me how they met, I didn’t believe them for a second – it was just too good and seemed staged! But trust me, this story is more real than ever. Leah + Charlie met in a Psychology class at Germanna Community College. You might be thinking, “Oh, here we go again with one of those ‘they saw each other across the room and it was love at first sight’ love stories”. Well, not quite. These two probably have one of the most original love stories I’ve ever heard.
After Charlie entered that Psychology class the first day, he just knew that the next day he came back he had to sit next to Leah. There was just something so intriguing about her and he wanted to know more. Therefore, about a week later, Leah came into class only to find Charlie sitting in the seat next to hers where a quiet young man normally sat. She could not believe that this happened. She was furious!
She walked up to Charlie and asked him “Did you sit there last week?” and he replied with a quick “No.”. That was that, but in her head, she couldn’t believe he kicked that poor kid out of his seat and took his seat. “You just don’t do that”, she said “it’s just common knowledge that the seat you sit in the first day is your seat”. Well, that wasn’t the case for Charlie and he made sure she knew it.
Now circle back to 2015, these two are married and in love MORE than ever! We spent their wedding day on June 7th at the Old Silk Mill in Fredericksburg, VA and the day couldn’t have gone any better. The weather was perfect, everything was beautiful, AND we got dreamy sunset portraits!! They are probably some of my new favorites for the year! I die.
This day went off with a hitch thanks to so many amazing vendors and I wouldn’t have wanted to work with such an awesome team than I did that day. Check out the end of this post to see who those wonderful souls are!
