Ericka sat in her chair at the War Memorial building early Saturday morning with a look of stress in her eyes as she prepared for the biggest day of her life. This upsetting and frustrating feeling was caused by Mother Nature itself. June had been filled with rainy day after rainy day and Ericka had been praying to God that it would hold out for just one day. Her day. And that morning, it poured. It poured and poured and poured.
After that moment of stress, Ericka realized that the rain wasn’t going to stop her from getting married and that she just needed to leave it to God for him to decide what was going to happen. When she let go of control and gave it to him, she received the biggest blessing she could have all day. As soon as we arrived at the venue, the clouds went away, the rain disappeared, and it was the most beautiful day we could have asked for. Nothing better could have happened than the rain disappearing like it did. It was an omen.
Ericka and Trey finally found relief in the fact that they were about to have the ceremony and reception of their dreams that they had planned for so long. Ericka walked down that aisle with the most breathtaking grace possible to greet her soon-to-be husband. The look on Trey’s face was priceless! Ericka was a true angel. They said their vows and they even planted a tree together! It was a beautiful ceremony! Trey swooped his wife up into his arms and gave her the best first kiss of her life!
Ericka and Trey – your love is one of a kind and I couldn’t have wanted your day to go any other way than it did. It was perfect, just like the two of you and you two earned it! I can’t wait to see your relationship grow and see you in a year for your anniversary! Your love is precious and I am so thankful to have been there on your very special day!
Before I share my favorite moments of the day with you, this day couldn’t have gone off without an amazing team of vendors who collaborated so well together! Thank you to everyone who worked SO hard to let Ericka and Trey have the most perfect wedding!!
