4 Tips for the Best Santa Photos | Warrenton Santa Pictures

Warrenton Santa Pictures

Are you planning on having your children partake in Santa pictures in the Warrenton, VA or Northern Virginia areas in 2023? If so, this post is for you! Santa Claus is our favorite man around the holiday’s! While it may seem crazy to be thinking about Santa photos already, the jolly man himself has a lot of work to do at the North Pole in order to prepare for the precious photos with your kiddos. After hosting our Santa Experience in the past, we’ve definitely learned and saved a few common tips to help you love your Santa experience even more!

Have you ever done Santa photos before and it was extremely stressful? Well, you’re not alone! You want your kiddos to experience the magic and joy that comes with Santa Claus… but you don’t want to add any more stress onto your plate. I get it. As a mama to two young kiddos (3.5 & 1 year old boys), I completely understand how stressful photos can be!

Read Below For Our Top 4 Tips for the Best Santa Pictures in 2023!

1. Make sure your children don’t see other kids with Santa before it’s their turn!

This one is so crucial! This is typically why photos with Santa at the mall or places like Bass Pro Shop are a hot mess. You don’t have the opportunity for your children to get a fresh look at Santa on their own because they have to wait in line… At our Santa Experience, the studio is yours for your entire time slot, and your children will not get to see other children seeing Santa! This means your children won’t get stressed out, unhappy, or scared watching other kids crying. I’m not sure if you’ve ever noticed, but children tend to mimic other children. Want to avoid this? Join us at our Santa Experience where you’ll have a private 10 minute time slot with Santa himself. 🙂

2. If you have young children, make sure you’re photo-ready too!

This may seem strange, but think about it — do you have a kiddo who is under the age of 4? Have they never met Santa before? OR if they have, did it go terribly last year? A lot of young children and babies are afraid of Santa the first time they meet him. At our Santa Experience, you have an entire 10 minute time slot, and this is typically plenty of time for your kiddos to calm down. However, once in a while, we get a kiddo who refuses to go anywhere near Santa. It happens! So how do you get cute photos with Santa if your kiddos are too nervous to go near him?! Make sure you dress in clothing that you’d be comfortable being photographed in. If you’re photo-ready, you can hold your kiddo in your lap and comfort them, while you sit/stand next to Santa and get some precious photos!

3. Bring a gift from Santa from home!

When you get Warrenton Santa pictures at our Santa Experience, you have the option to bring a “gift from Santa” for your kiddos! We have prescheduled times that you’re able to drop a gift off at the studio before your session. When you do this, it’ll add to the magic even more and give you an even bigger variety of images for your Santa session! We absolutely love getting to watch kiddos unwrap their gifts from Santa and get SO excited for Christmas.

4. Feel free to bring special Christmas items with you!

This may seem like a weird suggestion, but we love it when clients personalize these sessions! In our family, we always have the grandparents read The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve. We had our kiddos bring that book to their visit with Santa last year, and it was so special! He read the book to them and seeing the wonder in Brayden’s eyes next to Santa was priceless. Some other families have brought jingle bells, Christmas books, or even a snack inside of a Christmas mug! This one is one o four favorites because it hides the snack, but comforts the kiddos. 😉 Win-win!

Did you love these tips? Feel free to share them with your friends and family! We love being able to help everyone enjoy their visits with Santa! Are you planning your child’s visit with Santa in the McLean, VA or Gainesville, VA or Warrenton, VA area for this year? We’d love for you to join us at our 2023 Santa Experience. 🙂 Is there something we should add to this list that has worked for you? Comment below or email us and we’ll be sure to add it to the list!
