This trip was originally supposed to be a beach trip to Virginia Beach, but after shooting a wedding and visiting Philadelphia for the first time this Spring, we decided that we wanted to see SO much more of the city than I did in the 12 mere hours that I was there the first time.
Colby and I road-tripped up to Philadelphia on Friday and made a weekend out of it! Seeing all of these inspiring monuments and amazing landmarks was breath-taking and unexplainable! Getting to see so much of the city in such a short amount of time had us leaving and saying “Man, we need to come back a couple more times just so we can see half of the city!”
We had a plan to see this HUGE list and we attempted to conquer them! We got about half of them, but we also wanted to enjoy this vacation and not just do the things on the list to say we have!
My favorite part about seeing Philadelphia definitely had to be the culture of the city. It is SO different than little ole’ Fredericksburg, VA. There are a million different types of people all over, there are hilarious accents, and there are of course, PHILLY CHEESESTEAKS! If you want the best Philly Cheesesteak, you HAVE to go to Jim’s. We went there and we were spoiled – I don’t think I could ever eat another Philly Cheesesteak if it wasn’t from there. Best part I learned about Jim’s?! They can ship all over the world!! I may have a problem now, haha! Just kidding. 🙂
I also loved getting to see all of the amazing architecture that the city had to offer. The brilliant sky-scrapers, the amazing cathedrals, and the inspiring columns and buildings all over blew my mind. I could talk more and more and never stop about Philadelphia, but I’ll stop here and let you enjoy these images! 🙂
