Flushmount Albums

I am so excited for this limited blog post series I’ve put together for you on the different artwork options you can choose to preserve your memories with through my professional printers!

Up first, we have our extremely popular flushmount albums. These albums have a special place in my heart because there is truly nothing better than being able to run your hands across the pages and flip through your memories one by one. Photos weren’t invented so they could live on a cloud. They’re meant to be printed and displayed throughout the home. Did you know that there has actually been research done on the impact displaying photos of the family in the home can have on a child’s self-esteem? Learn more about it here!

I digress. With that being said, it is a mission of mine to help simplify the printing process for my clients. By providing professional quality prints and handling the design, ordering, printing, and even installation process, it couldn’t be any easier for them to print their memories! Other than frames, our flushmount album is the most popular choice. We offer a baby plan membership, which allows you to document 4 milestones within an 18-24 month timespan. Lots of our clients start with maternity or newborn photos and end with their baby’s first birthday milestone. This makes this album the perfect baby book to document their first year of life with your family!

What makes flushmount albums special?

Flushmount albums are the perfect choice for preserving your baby’s first year. They sleek, sophisticated, and durable, creating a timeless keepsake for years to come. With flushmount albums, you can design how the pages look and they’re completely customizable. You can choose how many images go on each page and even create different layouts to tell your baby’s story. You can add words to the pages, have images go across the entire page, and more. The sky is really the limit with these albums, which is a huge reason why I love them! They are very different from our matted albums, which you’ll learn about in this limited series soon.

Flushmount Album Cover Materials

As you can see in the images above, there are beautiful linen options available for our flushmount albums. The linen have recently been the most common option. They also come in leather! In the top image above, you’ll also see velvet options – the velvet option is only available with our matted albums. However, we typically recommend to our families if you’re going to have these albums around the kiddos, we recommend sticking to linen or leather, as they’re much more durable than velvet. The Rose Quartz Luxe Linen and Moonstone Luxe Linen are two of our most popular options!

Debossing

What in the world is debossing? Great question! As you see in the image above, there is a beautiful gold design etched onto the cover of the album. Debossing is when text is imprinted onto your album, creating a depressed (imprinted) effect. It can be filled with gold, silver, or rose gold foil. Or you can leave it empty, for a “blind debossing” option, which is honestly one of my favorite options!

We have a beautiful gallery of debossing designs you can choose from that are already made. You can customize them with your own family details! We also offer custom debossing design if you’d like to create something unique for your family specifically. You can see the available debossing options in the images above. Page Durability

As you can see in the two photos above, the pages are very thick and sturdy, making for a big impact. However, another perk of these thick pages is that they are children-friendly! As a mama myself, I was so nervous to invest in a baby book because I was so worried the pages would easily get ripped if I left it out. These thick pages are very hard to bend or rip so you can feel comforted knowing they’ll hold up against tiny hands.

Mini Albums

Lots of our clients choose to add on one of our mini albums, often known as “grandparent albums”. They are perfect gifts for grandparents for holidays, thank-you’s, birthdays, etc. However, some of clients recently have been ordering mini albums so they can give their child a copy when they grow up and leave the house. How sweet is that?!

Ordering Flushmount Albums

If you’re a current client, baby plan member or not, and want to order a flushmount album, we will do that at your upcoming design & ordering appointment! At this appointment, we’ll go through the images from your session and compare favorites so we can narrow down which images will look best in your album. After that, we’ll hop off the call and I’ll put together an album design for you so you don’t have to lift a finger.

The next step is to approve the album design – I’ll email you once the album design is finished. If it looks perfect and you don’t have any changes to make, you can approve it. If not, let me know what changes need made and I’ll get those done for you so we can get it ordered and in your hands!
