I was SO excited when Noel inquired because she seemed so genuine and honestly, just READY to marry the man of her dreams! Wouldn’t you be too?! That’s exactly how I was with Colby. They met Freshman year and it was FINALLY time to marry her person!! Plus, Noel and my birthdays are 3 days apart…so clearly, it was meant to be. 😉 Oh, and they’re die-hard Game of Thrones fans, so if you know anything about me & Colby, it’s that we CANNOT wait for next year!!
Jordan and Tyler got married last weekend at Amber Grove Inn in Richmond, VA and they have such a sweet story!! The two of them met at James Madison University through a mutual friend who was absolutely positive that they would hit it off! I guess she was right, because look where they are now! More in love now than they ever have been before!! After they were set up, it only took about 3 months for them to end up dating. One of my favorite parts of their story is their proposal that Jordan told me all about!! One of Tyler’s favorite things in the world (besides Jordan, of course!) is the Ole Miss Rebels. He got the two of them tickets while they were playing in Orlando, Florida so what could have made it any better?! A trip to Disney, duh!! 🙂
To this day, I still remember the exact moment that Megan and Ben sent along their inquiry into my inbox. Ding! I opened it up, excited to hear about the newly engaged couple! As soon as I read the words “met in high school” and “10 years later, we’re engaged”, I got so giddy!! I absolutely ADORE a good love story and boy, do they have one! Megan and Ben met in high school y’all. How sweet is that?!
Lindsey and Timothy are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I’m SO serious when I say that. They cared more about the well-being of every single guest at their wedding more than themselves and you could see that with every step they took. I actually met the Bruch’s back in 2015 at another wedding, Lindsey’s sister – Rachel! Tim and Lindsey ended up meeting each other on an online dating website and have been inseparable ever since. I love how exciting they are – they love hiking and traveling together which is such a wonderful way to spend time together. They even went skydiving for her birthday! They’re so young and have already gotten to travel so much together – all the way across the United States, the Caribbean, AND Europe! Oh, and they have the cutest pup ever – Lacey!! SO adorable!!
The forecast for Rhiannon and Brett’s wedding day for the majority of the week leading up to the big day wasn’t the most promising. For most people, this would have really bummed/stressed them out, however it didn’t even seem to affect Rhiannon and Brett. Their light-heartedness allowed them to make the best of it and really care about what matters. They were still getting married even if it was going to rain and that’s just the attitude that they had about it. It spread throughout the guests and everyone was so happy for them regardless! I LOVED that and loved the fact that even though it started hailing the moment that the ceremony ended, everyone continued to celebrate the beginning of a beautiful marriage.
They say that the number 7 is lucky… well, these two decided that year 7 was finally the time to tie the knot and it couldn’t have gone any better! Kristen & Daniel are two of the sweetest souls I have met to date. Daniel treats Kristen like a queen and Kristen is honestly the most humble and kind woman out there. The day I first met Kristen & Daniel, I immediately felt welcome into their lives and a part of their story – it’s just who they are. They care SO much about everyone else and want to make everyone comfortable and happy. They have some seriously kind hearts and the world is so lucky to have them.
Y’all – I am SO excited to share this wedding with you guys. It feels like I have been waiting forever for this day to come even though it hasn’t even been a year since I’ve met these two. The anticipation has been so real because as soon as that initial inquiry came into my inbox from a VERY excited bride-to-be, I just knew that this was going to be one of the best days ever! I absolutely adore Kailey’s positivity and amazing attitude towards all aspects of life.
Jordan and Brad contacted me a while back when they booked their wedding at the Winery at Bull Run and were referred by a sweet friend who is also in the industry! We skyped to get to know one another better and it just seemed like the perfect fit! I absolutely adored Jordan and her Beyoncé-like attitude. She was so sweet, yet fierce! When she explained what she envisioned her wedding day to be, I about died because I just knew it was going to be epic. She talked about the lush greens that she wanted, the peonies, and the gorgeous bridesmaid’s dresses!
This weekend I had the honor to photograph not one, but two beautiful weddings for such sweet families. On Saturday, Kaitlin and Justin finally tied the knot after 10 years. I feel like I have been waiting a lifetime along with their family to see this wedding finally happen! I remember back in February of 2015 (!! – yes, 2015!!) when Kaitlin contacted me. She had been following me on Instagram and was finally engaged herself and loved my work and all she wanted was for me to photograph their wedding. She contacted me FIVE days after her engagement. That right there was such a compliment and I just knew we were a right fit because photography was just *that* important to her. They didn’t even have a wedding date or venue booked!
With Jenny being a nurse, it was definitely not the easiest task for these two to find time to spend together. I still can’t believe these two have known each other since they were teenagers where they were both lifeguards together at Cameron Run Regional Park! I absolutely adore high school sweetheart stories.
