Happy Birthday Colby!
Today is a very special day and I am so lucky to be sharing it with you all. Today is my sweet man’s birthday and he turned 22 this morning!
If you haven’t learned who Colby is yet – he is my fiancé and soon-to-be HUSBAND!! Can you believe I get to be with this sweet man for the rest of my life?! Because I sure cannot understand why I am so lucky to be doing such a thing.
I cannot believe that this is the FOURTH birthday of his that we have spent together! Time is seriously flying y’all and I’m just loving being right by his side. This man is seriously incredible. He is a Full-Time student at Virginia Commonwealth University, he is in the military, and has TWO other part-time jobs! It amazes me that he is able to conquer such feats, but knowing his personality, it’s completely believable for someone with his talent to conquer anything. Colby came from a military family and moved around quite a bit, but his family finally decided to settle down in little ole’ Virginia and I am forever grateful for that decision.
Colby is such an amazing being and I love SO many things about him. Whether it’s the fact that he can genuinely bring a smile to anyone’s face – when I say this, I’m not kidding. And if you know him, you know exactly what I mean. He is just a happy person all-around and looks for the best in every person and situation. He never complains about anything – I don’t think there’s ever been a time when he just wants to quit and give up or sit around and be upset about his life. Every single day, he reminds everyone how thankful for everything he has and how happy he is to have us all. There have been some seriously trying times that we’ve been through and if it wasn’t for his optimistic and positive outlook, I don’t know where I’d be without him.
He is obsessed with movies and gets so excited to see them every time…even if it is the 30th time he’s seen it… When he is truly interested in something, he goes head-first and doesn’t give up until he’s made it to the end. He is forever reminding me every single day of how lucky we truly all are to be on this Earth. He is kind, sweet, and such a positive influence on everyone around him.
Colby, I will be forever grateful for having you in my life and I’m jumping for joy at the thought of saying “I Do” to your precious soul and committing to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness right by your side.
