When I first heard from Justin & Theresa through my contact form, I immediately knew that we were going to be a perfect fit because of their humor! They started off their love story by saying “we found love in a hopeless place” and I mean, come on y’all, who wouldn’t crack up at that?! Why was it a hopeless place? They met on Tinder!! So maybe not so hopeless at all!! They both had a love for corgi’s which made them swipe right on each other. Thank GOODNESS for Rascal, their sweet little pup that you’ll see all throughout this blog post. I absolutely LOOOOOVE that Justin woo’d Theresa over with this precious line: “I bet you a date and a bottle of wine that you swiped right for Rascal”. I wonder who won that bet?!
I know that planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming for those of you who don’t do this every weekend so that’s what I’m here for! Today’s advice is all about engagement sessions and some ideas of what to wear to look your best!
After getting to know the two of them a little bit better through my pre-engagement questionnaire that I send to my couples, I learned that Chase knew the owners of this cute little farm estate on Courthouse Road down the road from where I went to high school! I had always passed the farm driving to and from work when I was younger and always thought to myself that I wanted to explore it someday. I actually had been to the grounds with another couple, Kristin & Will, a long time ago because they knew the previous owners who had passed away! Regardless, the land is beautiful and I would shoot there all the time if I could. I mean, wouldn’t you?! Just look at that lighting!
Would you believe Kristen and Daniel are naturally introverts after looking through these photos? Yeah, me either.
We decided to have their engagement session at home instead of venturing out and about because if they had a choice, Kristen and Daniel would stay in everyday, order some takeout with some scotch and binge watch movies and tv shows. Maybe *The Flash* or *Gilmore Girls*? Kristen and Daniel have lived apart for quite some time now due Kristen being in Boston studying psychology! Because of this, whenever they get the time to be together, they make every second count. They’d rather spend time with each other cuddling on the couch binge-watching Netflix than sitting in a crowded restaurant.
Good morning y’all!
I hope y’all are recovering well from the past week that we were covered in snow and are so excited to celebrate Lauren and Tyler’s engagement as much as I am!
I knew immediately when I first heard from JD + Joo that we would get along perfectly. They are two of the most funny and entertaining people I have met to this day! When they explained (in depth) how they met, their first dates, etc, they literally told a third person story of everything so I could see it from both sides! I was DYING laughing reading this entertaining novel they wrote. Their love for each other is so sweet and I just can’t get enough of it. Their Georgetown engagement session on the waterfront shows nothing less than that either!
In the past, I have seen it happen time and time again. Clients will ask me advice on what to wear to their engagement session, I’ll offer some classy options such as a dress, and they automatically rule it out because they think it’ll be too expensive!
Jordynn and Jacob go all the way back to middle school when they were just twelve years old – how crazy is that?! Back then, they had *no idea* that they were meeting the loves of their lives.
